Please, please help- medical bill went from $580 to $1290

I'm new to the states, I moved here from the UK a few month ago, so the US healthcare system makes zero sense to me still. I had an endoscopy at an ENT appointment recently. The first bill they sent was around $580, which I expected. A week later, I got an email saying the bill had been updated to $1290 'due to recent changes'.

What is going on? It feels like they might doubled billed me, I've been sent two bills for the same day, one is $580 and the other is $700. Both have the same codes (endoscopy and patient visit) on them.

I'm insured, and by the looks of the bill the insurance has already been applied. I'll give them a call tomorrow, but its late at night now and I'm a bit panicked- thats INSANELY expensive, even for private healthcare. I'm a student and dont know how I can pay this. If anyone could decipher this and provide any info, that'd be hugely appreciated.
