Adobe, Uber and Google among top companies with best perks and benefits
Employees want to feel supported at work, but that depends entirely on the kind of perks and benefits they receive at work — and some companies are better at providing those than others.
Seventy-three percent of employees would be encouraged to stay with their current employer for longer if offered more benefits, according to a survey from insurance company MetLife. Nearly half even said they would bear part of the cost to have access to benefits that suit their needs. In an effort to round up the companies doing the best at providing the right offerings, employee insight platform Comparably ranked some of the biggest household names.
“Beyond salary, perks and benefits are often a major consideration when attracting and retaining top talent,” says Chad Herring, CHRO for ZoomInfo, Comparably’s parent company. “Whether it be comprehensive medical benefits and unlimited PTO or wellness stipends and flexibility perks, offering the full package can have a big impact on company culture and employee engagement.”

The companies’ rankings were determined based on a series of questions related to perks and benefits, including: “Are you satisfied with your benefits?” and “How would you rate the perks your office provides?” The answers to each question were then given a numerical score and compared to companies of similar size.
Computer software company Adobe came in first place, with one of their employees citing their unlimited PTO as the reason they feel supported at work. Uber came in second place for their Employee Stock Program, and TopGolf’s training and development strategies landed them in the top three.
