Hello!

I am hoping to seek clarity on what to expect.

Situation:

-I have been at my organization for a year now

-I elected to pay for the lower deductible plan offered through my employer when I started working here

-Open enrollment began in September 2024

-I indicated to my HR rep that I intended to keep the same benefits I had elected previously (lower deductible plan)

-I confirmed in a separate email that I had done everything necessary to keep my benefits the same, she acknowledged that I had.

-I checked my benefits package today and it's the high deductible plan.

-I have emailed HR but no response yet.

My question, am I going to be stuck with this HR error? Because I'm fairly certain open enrollment is closed and this wasn't mentioned as a "qualifying event to change insurance elections"?

This is my first time being able to get my own insurance that I pay for so I'm just worried how rigid these rules are…

ETA: I am 34 years old, I live in Oregon, and I think my gross income is right around $42,000/year.
