(CA) Can I use my insurance on medication out of state?

I(20F) recently got approved for Medi-cal benefits but I am now having to temporarily stay in Michigan because of school(short term). I take Adderall for my ADHD and was wondering if I'm able to use my Medi-cal for buying my medication in Michigan. The lady I spoke to from Costco pharmacy said they take all insurance, does that only apply to Michigan health insurances? Using my benefits for script orders and meeting my doctor is not a huge deal because I can just do Telehealth options and get coverage, but the medication is really expensive and I don't want to have to pay out of pocket. I also don't want to have to apply for new health insurance here when that just introduces a whole new headache of Michigan residency and eligibility for Michigan benefits or paying for insurance out of pocket when I already have approval in California. It's also too short term for me to switch over my insurance. Plz help out because I don't know much about how this stuff works.
