Peter Sharpe brings over 20 years of experience to the role

Acrisure Re has announced the appointment of Peter Sharpe (pictured) as the new head of its London-based specialty reinsurance team starting Oct. 7.

With over two decades of experience in the reinsurance industry, Sharpe will focus on expanding the company’s property and specialty reinsurance portfolio globally. He will report to David Sowrey, managing director of Acrisure Re’s international treaty business.

Peter’s knowledge and insights will undoubtedly contribute to our goal of delivering innovative and bespoke solutions to our clients as we expand our international presence,” Sowrey said.

Sharpe’s extensive career includes leadership roles at Gallagher Re, where he served as executive director, and Willis Towers Watson, where he held a similar position for over nine years. Earlier in his career, Sharpe worked with Hiscox, XL Re, and Trans Re in various underwriting and reinsurance roles.
