With more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, Shane brings extensive expertise in underwriting, leadership, and strategic growth to Axis Insurance.

Shane began his career as an underwriting trainee at Chubb, where he focused on Technology and Life Sciences clients. Over the years, he has held several key leadership positions, including co-launching and building a branch office for an MGA and serving as the Practice Leader for Life Sciences. His expertise spans a wide range of sectors, including Property & Casualty, Professional Liability, Fleet/IRCA, and Garage lines, and he has a proven track record in managing large portfolios and leading high-performance teams.

Most recently, Shane played a pivotal role at Economical Insurance, where he led the regional underwriting team through a successful transformation: improving profitability, broker relationships, and service standards within the province. At Axis, Shane will focus on driving growth initiatives across Eastern Canada, with a particular emphasis on talent acquisition, partnerships, and brokerage acquisitions.
