Ineligible for medicaid but insurance is still active?

Okay so this may sound complicated but bare with me. In June, I (20F) received a notice from the (Florida) Medicaid program that due to my high income my (8 month old) daughter was no longer eligible for Medicaid (I was still considered eligible for some reason at this point). I figured it was a mistake and contacted DCF that said I probably forgot to reapply and to do so then (I never got a notice to do this prior but followed their advice anyways). Some weeks later, I get another letter saying my daughter’s medicaid request was denied but that I was still covered. Fast forward to July, I had to rush to the ER for severe pains and was told at the hospital that my medicaid was denied. Confused, I showed the nurse my portal that said my coverage was still active but, for some reason, on their end it showed otherwise. The nurse then asked if I had dependent also on Medicaid. I told them I had my daughter but she was no longer covered. Apparently their system showed she was still covered and active. True to their statement, when I took my daughter to urgent care (she was already in their system with Medicaid as her insurance) it passed no problem. Great, I figured the Medicaid system must’ve mixed me up with my daughter and I was the ineligible one not her. Now, I was going through my claims with her medicaid provided insurance (which still says active and I was able to use it 2 days ago in the ER no problem) and discover that the recent claims have been denied. Am I gonna have to end up paying all of these eventually? I can hardly afford food, much less a bunch of doctor’s visit dating back to July for my daughter. Maybe, I’m in the wrong for continuing to use our medicaid given insurance but I figured it was safe to since it hasn’t declined at any doctor’s visit.

Has anyone else faced this dilemma? Is there a way to somehow avoid all the medical bills if this does end up biting me back?
