Alight sent me a pending bill for next two month’s insurance!

I have anthem insurance through my employer since the start of my employment. Ie 2018. I have made changes in the insurance benefits when I added the spouse, then the 401k and then in April I added my LO after his birth. I have been on maternity leave (FMLA, CFRA and then on medical leave due to PPD/PPA). I am projected to return to work on Sept 30th. My medical leave started Aug 6th in case that matters for this case?

Alight suddenly sent me a bill for $5k+ claiming the benefits of two months (sept 1 to Oct 31) with a due date of this month end! I’m unsure why am I to pay this? Specially when the month of Oct has not even started yet. And I have not made any changes in my benefits whatsoever! My benefits amount usually gets deducted from my paycheck and has been happening as such ever since I have been on the maternity leave. I am already in so much debt and can not pay $5k for my insurance alone!! Please advice!
