Why is MIBridges still showing active health benefits despite new job?

Hi all! I live in Michigan and need guidance on this issue!

Ok, so I graduated college about a year ago, and thus fell off my parent's health insurance. After college I spent awhile looking for a job so I applied for the healthcare benefits on MIBridges so I could have health insurance while I was unemployed, and got the McLaren Plan and they sent me a green health insurance card. I got a job working for the government back in April and I applied for a new health plan through the State of Michigan (my current employer), but I never got a health insurance card in the mail and nothing was being taken from my paycheck. I got concerned and called the health desk to see what was going on they told me that I needed to actually call them to apply for health insurance and not just apply through HR Self Service portal so I didn't get the new health insurance. Then I was told that the enrollment period is over and the next enrollment period isn't till October 14th.

Meanwhile, MIBridges still shows my McLaren insurance active EVEN THOUGH I REPORTED THE CHANGE IN INCOME. I have been using my green health insurance card from when I was unemployed to pick up my medication with no issues. I also had a medical emergency a few weeks ago where I was taking to ER by ambulance (which would be expensive without insurance).

I know I probably no longer qualify for the McLaren thing from when I was unemployed, but since I won't have another insurance till October and its still showing active and my green health insurance card is still being accepted, I worry I'll be in trouble for using it.

A few questions:

Is it illegal for me to continue to use my old green health insurance card? I did report the change of income after all.

Will I have to pay back the medical bills out of pocket?

Is this just some error from some lazy bureaucrat who hasn't gotten around to deactivating my old McLaren Plan?

Please respond I'm really worried that I'm going to get in trouble or that I will have to fork over thousands of dollars from that medical emergency a few weeks ago. Let me know if you have any questions for me
