Good Samaritans Right Overturned Van Only For Liquor Bottles To Roll Out Of It

A drunk dumbass tried to flee the scene of a crash after striking two parked cars and two pedestrians on Saturday and ended up significantly worse off for it. Following a u-turn and a high-speed getaway, the driver ran headlong into the back of a parked Jeep and rolled his van. Around a dozen people rushed to the overturned car and pushed to right it before getting the injured driver the medical help he needed. When the car was once again upright, the driver was attended to by first responders. Once they opened the door of the car a bottle of Hennessy cognac fell out, and another bottle of liquor was visible inside the car.

Hey, I’m just going to put this out there. Just between us, it’s super not cool to drink and drive. You’re a real dingus if you do that.

“The car that hit was upside down and everybody came and was trying to, you know, turn it over,” Eudus James, the owner of the Jeep and F-150 shown above, said to the local CBS affiliate. 

“He was bleeding out of his mouth. There was blood on the road. It was kinda scary watching somebody being pinned and being crushed.”

Police say the driver, 61-year-old Olubunmi Awoluyi, crashed into two cars a few blocks away from his end point, then struck a 26-year-old woman and a 3-year-old girl in a crosswalk. Both pedestrians are expected to make a full recovery. Awoluyi was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and leaving the scene of a crash.

If only he’d hit a crub and two fents instead. Then he’d just have to worry about load cam knock, instead of five wrecked cars and two injured people.
