I’ve read that to calculate MAGI from AGI I need to add in 1/2 SE Tax? (For Healthcare.gov) True or false?
40, M, about 15,500 income approximately.
I'm trying to calculate my MAGI from my AGI on line 11 of my 1040.
It would be helpful if I was adding back in 1/2 of my Self Employment tax to my AGI to qualify for ACA healthcare, so wondering if that is accurate or not to add it to my AGI to arrive at the MAGI healthcare.gov uses? Thanks!
Here is some of the info I found:

You should add the following to your AGI to determine your MAGI:
Student loan interest deduction. One-half of your self-employment tax. Qualified education expenses, including deductions for tuition and fees. Passive income or losses. Rental losses or losses from a publicly traded partnership. Retirement plan contributions.
From the IRS website:
Adjustments to income are deductions that reduce total income to arrive at AGI.
Examples of adjustments include half of the self-employment taxes you pay; self-employed health insurance premiums; contributions to certain retirement accounts (such as a traditional IRA); student loan interest paid; educator expenses, etc.
