ADVICE PLEASE/ hernia/ need surgery/ no insurance

Hello, If anyone has advice, I would greatly appreciate it. I am 30 years old and I had three hernias repaired two years ago. Two years ago I knew something was wrong but waited months until marketplace insurance was available in January and got it for about six months. I used it to get my hernias repaired. Then could no longer afford it and dropped it. I was mostly paying for it monthly with debt.

I understand insurance is important. I don’t make enough income to afford it. My employer offers it, but it is over $300 a month and I barely make enough to survive as it is. I have accumulated thousands of dollars in credit card debt for the first time ever over the last six months. I can’t catch up. I’ve had out of state funerals for close family members, emergency vet bills, rental increase, etc. This last two weeks my stomach has had uncomfortable pains. The other day at the gym I felt my intestines go through my stomach and poke out. Now daily I feel a spot I can poke back in and it’s really uncomfortable. It makes me squirm thinking about it. I got the sweats and shakes when I first felt it come through. I can’t afford to get it fixed. I don’t know what to do. Can I get health insurance somehow fast?? I’m so uncomfortable… I can’t imagine trying to afford being off work alone. I can’t pay for another surgery. I pay $120 a month for the surgery I had 2 years ago still. submitted by /u/Retribution96
