Went through Medical Underwriting and rejected the coverage option – now want to start over

Late last year, I went through Policy Genius and received a quote for life insurance. I went through the medical underwriting process and got an offer from Corebridge Financial. But the offer was for more than the original quote (I think they rated me the third from top risk category instead of the top). I think maybe I had smoked a cigar in the last 4 years or something made that happen (I’m otherwise pretty healthy and don’t drink much). At the time, I didn’t think the quote was competitive and so let it lapse, as I had a insurance through my work and let that be my only policy. I also realized that Policy Genius had only set me up for a 30 year term, which is more coverage than I think I need.

I’m looking into coverage again now. Will the previous underwriting experience ding me from potentially receiving the best quotes if I go through Policy Genius again? I know much more what I’m looking for (20 year term, $2m in coverage, and I’ve seen the quotes on Term4Sale that seemed more in line with what I’m looking to pay). Thanks in advance!
