Does my Medicaid still effective if I declined my job’s coverage.

Me and my wife received a BCBS Essential plan 4 insurance through a broker at the start of year 2023 when I was jobless.

I got a job in last year Sep 2023 and I informed my broker about my new projected income and updated my newly received social security. Nothing change they said my income might make Essential plan 4 to Plan 1 because of our new household income which should be around 38-40k for 2024.

My job opened their enrollment period during around Feb 2024. I failed to looked into it thoroughly and I might have signed that I declined the offer because even the lowest one would cost us 11k annually for me and my spouse. (me alone is 2k annually)

It is just now that I am reading information in web again, I learned that I might be ineligible for Medicaid if I have health coverages offered from my employee. I think We might have used our plan benefits two times for annual check ups and two times for sick visits.

What should I do next? Did we just commit a fraud or some crime?
