Hi! I just switched over to my employer offered medical insurance thru anthem from my husband’s. Effective date was 8/1. We deal with a concierge company for health insurance. I contacted them this week and they were finally able to send me my anthem health insurance card over email (after telling me I wasn’t in the system a few days earlier 🙃). When I look at the card- it looks like it was generated 8/7. (Our HR manager likely turned in our paperwork last minute or late because he is flakey). When I log into my anthem online acct- my new plan isn’t showing up- just my old expired plan thru an old employer from 2020 and when I call, anthem doesn’t have any record of my member ID even though I’m looking right at the card (with my member ID) that my works concierge services sent over to me.

What I’m wondering is since the card date looks like it was generated 8/7, does it take time sometimes for anthem to register it into their system?? I’m concerned since the member ID isn’t showing up when I contact anthem directly, but my works concierge company insists it’s active/sent me my anthem card. Thank you!!
