Moving States as Qualifying Event for Enrolling Dependent in Marketplace Plan/Dropping From Job-Based Plan?

I am currently enrolled in my spouse's increasingly expensive employee plan, which subsidizes the employee but not dependents. The job plan year runs October-September and it's open enrollment for the next year. I want to get off this plan and enroll in a cheaper ACA plan without a gap in coverage. My spouse works remotely and we are planning to move to a new state in the near future with no effect on this employment.

My question is, if we renew as usual and then move to a new state in several months, will I be eligible at that point to a) enroll in a marketplace plan during a special enrollment period triggered by the move and b) be dropped as a dependent from the expensive job plan as a result?

I've read about moving as a qualifying event but can't find much about this particular situation in which we'd be moving without any change to our employment situation and our existing plan being with Aetna, a national company that probably has coverage in the new state too.

My only other option seems to be to go without healthcare October-December while waiting for the next marketplace open enrollment, which I don't want to do.
