Kevin King (pictured) has taken on the role of chief executive at mutual insurance provider TT Club.

King’s transition finalized the succession plan announced by the transport and logistics insurer in 2023. Having served as deputy CEO under Charles Fenton over the past year, King assumed his new responsibilities on August 1 after a seamless handover period.

The new CEO has held various leadership positions within Thomas Miller-managed companies. In 2015, he relocated to London from the US to oversee TT Club’s operations in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He also previously held the position of chief operating officer.

His predecessor commented: “Kevin is well-positioned to lead TT into a challenging future. His vast experience of the mutual insurance model, vision in harnessing new technologies, and well-honed management skills will ensure TT continues to evolve in step with both global transport developments and a dynamic insurance market.

“The TT main board and I have every confidence in his leadership abilities, and I welcome him to his new role.”

Fenton, meanwhile, will continue to be involved with TT Club. The Thomas Miller Holdings chair remains a member of the TT Club board and will keep on promoting the insurer on an international level.

As for King, he expressed his keenness to help TT Club navigate into the next stage of its 56-year journey.

“It has long been a privilege to work for, and now lead, a purpose-driven organization,” he said. “The Club’s mission to make the global transport and logistics industry safer, more secure, and more sustainable guides everything we do.

“We are well-positioned financially, technologically, and especially with our established expertise around the world to succeed both as an insurer and a positive force for change in the industry. I am grateful to Charles for his mentoring and leadership over my career, and thankful he will remain close to the business.”
