My husband recently switched jobs, he’s a travel nurse…went from one travel agency to another. He will soon be quitting and taking on a full time role on another career path so this move was always going to be short term.

I was previously on his plan because my company’s benefits weren’t great however, with all the changing..we have decided that I’ll just get on my employee benefits due to qualifying event (loss of coverage).

The issue is..my company needs proof of loss of coverage and his company won’t supply separation of employment until 31 days after he left. Right now he has benefits with his new company and I have nothing. Kind of in limbo. When his company provides that documentation…it will be out of window for my qualifying event? Has to be within 30 days.

Any suggestions? It doesn’t help that I’m 4 months pregnant and have multiple dr visits coming up. I can get on his new employee plan if need be but we just were trying to avoid that because he will only be with them a few more weeks
