United Healthcare clinical trial coverage

Does anyone have any experience with UHC covering costs while participating in a clinical trial? I have UHC fertility coverage and they have been covering most of my costs leading up to a possible embryo transfer. Well, I did not end up with a "normal" embryo. We have one mosaic embryo which are not typically transfered at some clinics. My clinic is doing a clinical study on mosaics and they say they will allow me to join the study and have the embryo transfered. But they mentioned that insurance doesn't always pay when participating in a trial. I found a UHC document explaining what might be covered. It says it will cover cancer studies, but it looks like there may be exceptions, but I really can't tell. Guess I'm stressed and looking for answers. I'll call UHC in the morning, but my experience is that I can't get clear answers from them to my questions until the claim is submitted. Thanks for any insight anyone may have to help ease my mind.
