AXA Commercial announces new appointments to underwriting leadership team

AXA Commercial has announced two new appointments to its Underwriting, Pricing & Portfolio Management leadership teamGurinder Aulakh joins from Allianz as Pricing Director while Jean-Sébastien Lagacé moves from AXA Group to the role of Reinsurance Director

AXA Commercial has this month made two appointments to its Underwriting, Pricing & Portfolio Management leadership team. Gurinder Aulakh has been appointed Pricing Director, replacing Jo Scott who retires on 31 July, while Jean-Sébastien Lagacé moves from AXA Group to the role of Reinsurance Director.

Gurinder joins AXA from Allianz, where she most recently led on the insurer’s mid-corporate pricing transformation. She previously worked in various pricing roles at Zurich and has more than 20 years of pricing experience across commercial and personal lines in the UK and overseas.

“Gurinder also has a wealth of knowledge and experience in mid-market and the deployment of rating tools.

Gurinder’s breadth of experience will give us a stronger understanding of what’s happening in the pricing space across the market. She is a welcome addition to our team and will provide valuable insight at a time when pricing is in sharp focus.

AXA Commercial has also appointed Jean-Sébastien Lagacé as Reinsurance Director to provide additional support and expertise to the team and help drive successful outcomes across its business portfolio.

A qualified actuary, Jean-Sébastien has extensive experience in reinsurance, data, actuarial science, and catastrophe and capital modelling, having worked across a variety of AXA Group entities over the past 25 years.
