Insurance issue after out of state hospital visit?

In october of last year and march of this year, i was visiting out of state for a while because i had plans to move. During both of these visits, I experienced medical issues (i have them frequently) and needed to be seen by a doctor. I called my insurance (medicaid) and asked them what to do and they told me they would cover out of state hospital visits, so i went to the hospital for both occasions.

Ive had some back and forth with both the insurance company and the hospital regarding billing during this time and figured everything was taken care of after a while. Yesterday I got two separate bills from a debt collection agency summing up to nearly $3k!! I dont have that kind of money unfortunately and im not sure how im supposed to go about paying it even if i did, im only 19 and this is not something ive ever had to deal with before 🙁 as i said i moved and im no longer covered by medicaid by my former state so they wont talk to me anymore since im not in their plan so i dont really know what to do. my current plan (also medicaid) wont cover the cost either i tried to reach out to them about it
