Ex fiance is still on my long term health insurance

I was engaged and I added my fiance to my long term healthcare insurance plan, which I get through my job and pay the premiums for every month. His costs $25 a month. Well, a couple months before our wedding I found out he was cheating on me. I called off the wedding and moved out.

I called my insurance and told them the situation and that I wanted to cancel his policy but keep mine. The customer service rep urged me to consider keeping his policy going. I'm the police owner and his beneficiary and she said I didn't have to cancel it.

At first my ex had asked me to keep the policy going but then we agreed I should cancel it since we have since gone no contact. I have the papers filled out to send in to cancel it because I don't want that tie to him. But now I'm confused and wondering what to do. Doesn't feel ethical to keep it going without his knowledge but this customer service rep felt pretty strongly about it. Wouldn't this get complicated if he remarried anyway? Any advice is welcome.
