Wholesale brokerage Flow Specialty has shared its AI credo and vision as it utilizes agentic AI to provide professional liability, management liability, and cyber insurance products.

Through the AI credo, the brokerage is able to perform tasks autonomously.

“We believe that AI has the opportunity to revolutionize our industry, but we also believe that companies should be intentional and transparent in the way they are building and using AI,” said Flow CEO Sivan Iram.

“That is why we decided to openly share this AI credo, and invite other companies in the insurance space to do the same and have an open discourse about it,” added Iram.

The brokerage’s AI credo includes the recognition that AI cannot replicate the qualities of human intuition, creativity, and empathy and that people are put first at the heart of its business. Human supervision is also prioritized as the feedback of its brokers verifies the accuracy of AI and drives the improvement of its systems, it said.

It also outlines that AI is only a tool and that its features are only meant to enhance human capabilities. Transparency and trust, as well as privacy and data ownership, are priorities.

“We want the insurance industry to understand that there are unique human qualities that AI could never replace properly, and we are dedicated to a future where AI serves as an ally to our brokers,” said Flow’s head of insurance David Derigiotis.

“As the only AI integrated insurance brokerage in the market today, Flow is infusing technology and insurance at the cellular level, driven by insurance people who are proficient in AI prompt engineering.”
