International health insurance, can they deny renewals?

Hey all,

I'm Canadian, a digital nomad, and living mostly in Latin America (Mexico, Panama & more)

I've been using Cigna Global Platinum for a few years, and it has worked okay. I have a lot of health conditions and they are paying out much more than I am paying in premiums. Like really expensive RA meds. I have the outpatient package for that.

My question is… seeing as they don't make money with me, can they eventually just…deny to renew me?

That would be very problematic, as I am uninsurable, nobody would insure me with my health conditions (I've tried in the past, only rejections), so if I lost this insurance, I would be uninsured, forever.

My second question is… I'm thinking of renewing the plan to a cheaper one (mine is 500/month..), but my worry is….will that cause them to look into my file more, realize I'm not profitable, and cut me out? Or something of the sort?

Anyone know?
