McLardy McShane’s new Melbourne broking manager

In his new role at McLardy McShane, Wright will oversee a portfolio that includes the Melbourne branch’s largest accounts and collaborate with the team on business development and growth strategies.

Meg Long, chief operating officer of McLardy McShane Group, noted Wright’s relevant experience and fit with the company’s strategic goals.

“We are thrilled to have Brendan join as our newly appointed Melbourne broking manager,” she said. “Brendan brings a wealth of expertise in several sectors that align with our business, having most recently come from an international broking company.”

She emphasised that Wright’s compatibility with the company’s culture and values was a crucial factor in his hiring.

“He is an impressive young man who aligns with our company culture and values which is very important to us,” she said. “We have no doubt that Brendan will have a significant impact in steering and further building our Melbourne branch.”

The awards recognised and celebrated the insurance industry’s trailblazers across 21 categories.

The award celebrates the insurance veteran for his significant contributions to charities and Australian rules football.

He was the chairman and director of The Reach Foundation from 2011 to 2013. He was also a governor of the youth empowerment focused on Jim Stynes Foundation.

Additionally, he supports and fundraises for FightMND, a campaign led by AFL star Neale Daniher. He also spent five years on the board at Melbourne Football Club, where he was the president from 2012 to 2013.
