Policy number

How to get a policy number? I’m only 21 so I don’t really know the process. My great grandma who adopted me recently passed on Thursday. Her daughter’s one being the power of attorney and the other being her oldest child that’s still alive is handling the footwork. My grandma had a stroke last year and was placed in a rehab/nursing home. I remained in the house where she once stayed so when she passed I was put to the task of finding the life insurance. I found two documents and turned them over to my aunts but they say they aren’t correct. Now they’re saying they know she has a policy but they don’t have the policy number and now because of that we have to gather money and have her funeral at the chapel then cremate. It’s not making any sense from my end, is there a way they can find the policy number being that they are her children?

We really need help before Thursday. My grandma was paying all her children’s life insurance even mine and my 3 sisters so I know she paid her own and she deserves a correct burial
