Help with referrals and what to do…

I’m not sure if this is the right sub but here goes nothing.

My mom is 52 and she has medi cal. Over the last year or so, she has been declining in more ways than one, but primarily cognitively. She stopped working because she was too slow and inefficient. Now she can barely string along sentences. Her speech is very impaired so she cannot have conversations. She has terrible memory. She is in constant pain and can barely stand. She has terrible arthritis, prolapsed uterus, she falls a lot and trips over herself, one of her legs is very swollen all the time, has a heart murmur, and her quality of life is simply diminishing. And we can’t seem to get a diagnosis for her. We take her to the doctor and the doctor seems concerned for her, and refers her out to neurologist, brain scans, physical therapy, and literally a list more. And it’s been a month and STILL waiting for referrals. I call and they say it’s still pending and nothing to be done. Finally heard back from one of the less pressing referrals and the appointment was for TWO months out. Can’t even imagine how far out it’ll be once we get the other referrals approved. They think she might have dementia at this young age but no one says anything for sure. She is just getting worse and we are desperate and feel helpless. Can someone let me know if there is literally anything we can do to get her seen? Any private insurance that will accept her without any life events happening? Literally anything that we can do to find out what is wrong without being stuck in this never ending cycle of waiting for the insurance to approve things? I am going crazy and i’m scared it’ll be too late by the time she gets any help. I even tried taking her to the ER and they didn’t do anything.
