Artex Risk Solutions, the captive, alternative risk transfer, insurance-linked securities (ILS) facilitation and capital solutions subsidiary of Gallagher, has hired Irish Aleria as a Vice President of Insurance Management, ILS.

Aleria, who is located in Bermuda, joins Artex Risk Solutions after five years spent working at Ocorian, a global provider of corporate and fiduciary services, fund administration and capital markets services.

As the new position at Artex suggests, Aleria will be focused on insurance management services for the insurance-linked securities (ILS) sector, which could include catastrophe bond issuer special purpose insurers (SPI), as well as the management of other collateralized reinsurance and ILS fund structures.

Earlier in her career, Aleria had worked at Ernst & Young as a Senior Associate focused on financials and audits for clients, at Citibank as a Financial Reporting Analyst and Schlumberger as a Management Accountant and Financial Analyst.

She joined Estera in Bermuda in 2019, which was later merged into Ocorian.

She began her time at the company as a Account Manager and in 2022 became an Associate Director and the Head of Client Accounting and Reporting, then was promoted to Client Director in 2023.

At Ocorian, Aleria specialised in accounting and financial services, insurance management, and listing services on the Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX), including listings of insurance-linked securities (ILS) and funds.

She joined Artex this month and the new role will see Aleria’s time now focused on service provision to the ILS space.
