Is there any practical difference between BS CA and BCBS MA?

Context: I live in MA and work in tech, so I'm used to companies offering incredibly good health insurance. We're talking plans with 100% coverage with either no coinsurance/copay at all or just $10 for certain visits, and excellent oon coverage (80%). Often low or no deductible, sometimes up to $2000 deductible, but still amazing coverage.

Currently trying to find a new job due to ongoing, intractable issues with insurance (UHC) and I'm hoping to go back to BCBS MA if possible. One of the jobs I'm looking at is based in CA and offers health insurance through TriNet. I don't have the full details yet, but I believe my only BCBS-related option would be BS of CA.

Questions:

Is there any practical difference for me, a patient with complicated healthcare needs in MA, between BCBS MA and BS of CA? Will it be more difficult for my doctors to deal with for things like PAs? Since I can't yet see any plan details… are TriNet plans going to be significantly worse than what is standard for the tech company benefits I'm used to? submitted by /u/biketybikebike
