Scheduled with out-of-network Provider

Hello!

I have an issue I was hoping to get advice on.
I scheduled a new patient appointment at an office with a provider I knew was in-network. I had the appointment and then that provider wanted me to come back for a follow-up with her.
I went to the front desk and I told them that she wanted me to schedule a follow-up with her, so they did (or so I thought).

During my follow-up, a different provider walks into my patient room. I looked confused and she said "I'm not sure why they put you with me, I know you saw (previous provider) last time, sorry."

I continued on with the appointment because I didn't really know what to do. I was already missing work for this appointment, and I thought it was all fine to see this other provider, seeing as the front desk person previously told me that I could see ANY provider there with my Cigna insurance.
(I wanted to be safe though, so that's why I had chosen the initial provider I knew for sure was in-network.)

Anyway, I looked at my claim and it looks like my insurance is paying for none of that second visit and none of it is counting towards my deductible, and the reason code is ON: PLAN DOES NOT PROVIDE BENEFITS FOR OUT OF NETWORK PROVIDERS.

So.. am I just screwed? I guess I could have walked out of the follow-up appointment but I was just confused and really needed the appointment.

EDIT- Age 32, zip code is 19703. I have the two EOBs if needed.
