The new GV60 EV is the smallest of the Genesis brand’s crossovers, and the company claims it has a coupe-like profile.
Characteristic styling elements include the two-piece headlights and taillights as well as the diamond-mesh grille. Since there’s less need for cooling airflow in an EV, the grille is lower than in the brand’s other models, and much of it is closed off.
The GV60 is roughly nine inches shorter than the GV70 and an inch-and-a-half lower, but its wheelbase is an inch greater. Among competitors, it’s larger than a Volvo XC40 but smaller than an Audi Q4 e-tron.
At launch there are two versions, both with two motors and all-wheel drive: the Advanced AWD and the Performance AWD.
The Advanced has 314 horsepower and 446 pound-feet of torque. The Performance ups that to 429 horsepower with the same torque output. The Performance also has a boost mode good for 483 horsepower and 516 pound-feet.
All GV60s have a 77.4-kWh battery pack. EPA range is 235 miles for the Performance version and 248 miles for the Advanced model.
There are a total of 10 exterior color choices, but three of them are white.
Dual 12.3-inch digital displays are housed behind a single curved dashboard screen. The gearshift is a crystal orb on the console.
The GV60 interior features a flat floor, and most passenger dimensions are slightly better than in the GV70.
The GV60 has as standard facial-recognition technology to unlock the car and a fingerprint sensor to start it.
