I had an agent contact me and she convinced me to sign up for this plan. I'm scared that I was taken advantage of because I'm 18 and don't know the next thing about health insurance. I'll admit that I didn't do a lot of research because I truly do not understand this stuff. I'm healthy so the company approved me. I noticed that it's really hard to get doctors to recognize the health insurance. The company told me they take all doctors under United Healthcare, but I'm scared that I'm going to go to a doctor and have to pay a huge bill. The way the agent explained it, I was told I would barely pay anything out of pocket, but there are so many negative reviews that I'm scared I was mislead. People keep saying they refused to pay and I'm scared they're going to do that to me. I genuinely don't know anything about this stuff. I have an appointment on the 14th for a check up and if they don't cover it, I think I'm just going to cancel the plan before I spend a bunch of money on something that won't cover me. And then of course, I wouldn't really know where to go from there. Everyone keeps saying it's fake insurance and I don't really understand what that means. I just don't want to freak out and do something drastic if it's not as bad as everyone is saying. This market is so predatory and it's not fair.
