Retroactively applying insurance?

I’m scheduled for a breast reduction next Tuesday and my insurance denied both my claim and my first appeal (I have applied for a second appeal). I fit more than the minimum criteria for it to be covered by insurance and have provided documentation. I was only notified of my claim denial week before last and have been fighting it ever since. Yesterday I was able to be reenlisted in Medicaid, which is what I had before I was disqualified. However, I don’t know if it will be applied in time. I called the billing department and requested a billing estimate, but I won’t know for a day or two. Can I still get my procedure and have my insurance retroactively applied? Maybe it seems silly to fight so hard for a breast reduction, but I started the process over two years ago. I’ve underwent X-rays, physical therapy, spinal realignments, etc to address my back, rib, and neck pain. I was approved by my doctor for the surgery over six months ago. I need this surgery! I’m in constant pain and I know this would drastically improve my quality of life. Please help!!!
