Question about Blue Shield of California

I went to an in network doctor to get a new PCP. Co-pays was $20 and used this for 3 appointments. So $60 total.

Now 3-4 months later I get a bill from the doctors saying that the insurance is accepting $0 worth of responsibility and now I'm in the hole for $900 for the three appointments. The other one still hasn't been billed I assume that I went in last week for a referral for Ortho.

Basically my appointments were to establish a new PCP. They didn't do much during that appt except schedule me for a annual physical. That was $500 for nothing.

Next appt was blood work and w/ f/u came out to $400.

I went from being told that it was covered and a $20 co-pay to now being told that a $7000 deductible needs to be met before anything is covered. Now I'm not the most knowledgeable on insurance but this seems like a scam at this point.

I just don't feel safe going to another doctor's visit and have a pending Ortho appt for shoulder repair coming up and now I'm feeling that this insurance is useless.
