Mutual insurance group Sentry Insurance has announced a partnership with Falvey Insurance Group to offer admitted and non-admitted cargo capacity to Falvey’s broker partners.

Sentry, which launched its specialty lines division in 2022, joins Falvey’s existing security partners, which include Lloyd’s of London, Chubb, Beazley, Ascot, Starr Insurance Companies, Accredited Surety and Casualty Company, and Great American Insurance Group.

Falvey Insurance Group is a niche managing general agent (MGA) offering various property and casualty solutions focused on the supply chain and trade.

Jack Falvey, chief operating officer of Falvey Insurance Group, stated that the partnership with Sentry will enhance their ability to better serve brokers and their clients.

“On top of Sentry’s stellar reputation and operational excellence as an A.M. Best rated A+ (superior) insurance company, Sentry is known for its dedication to fostering long-term relationships. The whole organization at Sentry has been phenomenal to work with and we look forward to growing the relationship with the Sentry team in the future. All of these attributes make Sentry the perfect partner for Falvey,” Falvey said.

Heather Schenker, AVP of Specialty at Sentry, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, describing it as a strategic expansion into the marine cargo segment.

“The combination of Sentry’s financial strength and Falvey’s expertise only create more opportunities to offer comprehensive protection to the marine cargo industry,” Schenker said.

Brad Eldridge, chief relationship officer at Falvey, commented on the potential of the collaboration to expand their footprint within the specialty insurance space. He emphasized that the partnership will enhance Falvey’s capabilities and provide greater value to customers.

Meanwhile, Scott Miller, president of commercial insurance at Sentry, also recognized Falvey’s passion and expertise in the cargo industry, which aligns with what Sentry seeks in a partner.

“Couple that with a proven track record in their results, we’re excited what the future holds for this partnership. The Falveys have built a tremendous business,” Miller said.

Recently, Falvey Insurance Group introduced commercial output insurance – a new offering that merges commercial property and inland marine coverages to secure a company’s products both during manufacture and in transit.
