Innovative Health Is a Scam!
I lost my TnCare and had to reapply. The local DHS office gave me the website to do so. I applied on a Friday evening which took all of maybe five minutes and they said I should get an answer soon. Monday morning I had an email saying I'd been approved and my cards were in the mail. Fast-forward a month and a half… No cards. I called them last night to find out why. They said I missed a letter saying they needed more info. because they sent it to my old address. Because I missed the letter, I'd have to pay the first two months. $300 on June 3rd & $242 on July 3rd. I'm disabled and barely get enough to pay my bills. I agreed to anyway because, "Hey, I'm talking to TnCare they must've changed their policies." I was stupid enough, yet smart enough to give them my debit card info. so it would automatically come out on June 3rd. I check my card Every.Single.Day to see what's gone through, and make sure everything's as it should be. When I checked my card this morning I had three charges for $292.78 from Innovative Health that were denied, because I'd already paid my bills and it had no where near that on there. I called my bank and had them cancel the card. After that I called the number I called last night and it kept hanging up on me. So I googled TnCare numbers and found another one. I called and the guy asked me who I needed to speak to. I was all, "The TnCare dept. because I got scammed by a company last night." He said he was sorry to hear that, and "Which dept did you say you need to speak to, ma'am?" I came back with, "This seems to be a scam, too, because a legit government agency wouldn't act like this." He assured me that he misunderstood what I was saying and was putting me through the TnCare dept. "Hold on a minute ma'am." Then they hung up. I figured out that was Innovative Health, as well. Finally, I got in touch with TnCare Connect which is the Real deal. They did get my application that night and I should have an answer by the 31st. And she put my cards in the mail today. Drama, drama, drama. 🤷🤦😳
