Question regarding health insurance and upcoming Gender Affirming care

Hi

I've gotten to the point in my journey with dysphoria that I've decided the transition is for me. I'm shopping around insurances and I wanted to find one that is advantageous for me going forward, hopefully in their coverage of gender affirming care. While a lot of insurers in my area will cover genital surgery and hormones they won't all cover some of the extra procedures that can go a long way for treating dysphoria like hair removal and Facial Feminization.

Now for my question, I found a "provider" that goes by PHCS PPO. (Private Healthcare Systems) After exhaustive questioning of a few reps of the company, they really do seem like a good choice. They seem like a fantastic choice even, they cover most of the mainline procedures and are open to supporting procedures that aren't explicitly covered as long as they come with a doctors recommendation. (Which I have seen a lot of doctors that provide gender confirming care are willing to help with)

All of this seems… a little too good. All of my experiences have made me pretty skeptical of offers like this. Has anyone else encountered them and made use of their services? I would love it if I could find a trans person who has utilized them to undergo their process, however unlikely that may be. Or if not that does anyone know of any online resource that may rate health insurers?

Additionally, as I'm still shopping around, I would really appreciate recommendations for other insurers, specifically those that are open to covering hair removal and FFS.

Thank you for anything you guys can help with!
