I’m in the process of getting life insurance talked to a few agents and have no idea what I’m doing and don’t want to pay into something and my beneficiaries not be paid out. I’m a single mom of 2 and want them to be taken care of in the event of my passing. I’m 35yrs old, have a history of thyroid cancer (only required surgery) 10yrs ago with no reoccurrence, 2021 I tested positive for ANA Anti Nuclear Antibodies making me Autoimmune (psoriatic arthritis) haven’t had any flares, doesn’t interfere with life other than mild joint pain. Only medication I’m on daily is Levothyroxine due to the removal of half of my thyroid. The best I’ve been quoted thus far is a 40yr term life $800,000 for $79.55/ a month $500,000 thru Mutual of Omaha and $300,000 from Fidelity Life. Neither company is requesting a medical screening. What questions should I ask? Are those insurance companies good? Do they pay out the beneficiaries without hassle? Is there anything I should watch out for? Any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance.
