Medical and dental insurances for wisdom teeth extraction

My daughter needs to get her widsdom teeth extracted and went to see an oral surgeon referred by her Orthodontist. It turns out that she is in network for our dental insurance, but not in our medical! So, I will have to pay any non-dental expenses out of pocket. I understand that she has cysts, which need to be removed.

At this point, I don't know what services will be covered by medical or dental insurance.

CT scan (paid out of pocket already) – medical (out of network)

Wisdom teeth extraction – dental (in-network)

Cysts removal – Dental or Medical ?

Autopsy – Dental or Medical?

anesthesia – Dental or Medical?

I will not get the estimates until 2 week prior to the scheduled surgery. I am debating if I should change a surgeon to avoid medical costs. There is one oral surgeon who participates in both dental and medical insurances.

Any insights will be appreciated.
