April Palmer has been appointed as assistant vice president, producer, at Alliant Insurance Services, joining its Employee Benefits Group.

Palmer, who is based in the Miami-Dade area, will extend her expertise in employee benefits consulting to employers both locally and nationwide.

Palmer’s background is steeped in business development and sales, where Alliant praises her ability to foster growth through strategic partnerships and strong client relationships.

She holds a degree in business and marketing from Auburn University. Prior to joining Alliant, Palmer’s career trajectory included significant positions across several industries.

In her most recent roles before Alliant, Palmer was vice president of business development at Spot Pet Insurance from May 2023 to April 2024, where she focused on expanding the company’s market share in the Miami area.

Before that, she served as director of business development at eMed Digital Healthcare from August 2022 to May 2023, and as senior business development manager from January 2022 to August 2022. Her responsibilities in these positions are centered around enhancing client success and driving business growth through innovative strategies and partnerships.

Earlier in her career, Palmer worked as a brand marketing consultant at THE SOCIETY OF SCENT in Paris from March 2021 to June 2021, and as a sales and partnerships consultant at TheArsenale in Miami from January 2021 to June 2021.

Additionally, Palmer’s experience includes a tenure as a sports partnership manager at WMT from April 2019 to July 2020, where she was instrumental in managing and expanding sports-related partnerships. This role was preceded by her position as an account manager at Insight Global, where she was responsible for strategic partnership management in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area from August 2018 to April 2019.

Her earlier roles also include a marketing coordinator at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and various positions at Auburn University, where she engaged in marketing and customer service roles that helped hone her professional skills.
