Assistance with choosing first plan

Hello Everyone, I wanted to come on here and ask for some advice regarding health insurance. I will be moving on to my own health insurance plan following my birthday and need advice on what would be a good option. Currently, I work for the government as an intern but will be converting to a permanent employee this summer so I'll get my insurance through them. I'm 18 year sold so this is completely new to me and I don't have a whole lot of support when it comes to choosing the right plan. If Anyone who is a federal employee or just is educated with insurance plans would provide some advice I would really appreciate it.

Specific guidelines pertaining to me:

18, Male, 21157 zip, income salary- $34,000 Would be an individual plan just for myself. I can change my plan easily depending on what I need- Very much thinking about retirement and ensuring proper funds are getting stored for such that but I am also largely thinking about myself in the present- I do have a good amount of medical needs and paying the least amount out of pocket would be my priority right now as I don't make a full salary. In terms of my medical needs- several prescriptions- mostly dermatology and endocrine related(injections), eyeglasses/contacts( This might be separate from medical), regular derm and endo checkups. Medical history- heart problems- from both sides of parents- dad had to get valve surgery and pacemaker implantation, skin problems- already occur but may worsen, endocrine system problems- already occur but require long term treatment with strong possibility of worsening Of course these are my medical needs now and very well may change but as of now the need for a strong insurance plan is crucial.

I was looking into the GEHA HDHP plan as I feel like it doesn’t cost too much, plus the lowered deductible and HSA savings, seems like a pretty good deal.
