Supplemental Health Insurance and Full Insurance

I just wanted some clarification for future decisions. I've (27F) been on a supplemental health insurance plan through UHC since 3/11/24 to get by with coverage until Open Enrollment begins again in November and I can get a full health insurance plan and/or shop around.

However, I saw that it was possible to have both plans be active together on your account, and I was wondering if there was any benefit to that? Also, how would claims and medical bills be processed if you have both types of plans? Would the supplemental pay its fixed amount and then send the rest to the full plan? Does you just pick which of your plans to use at a provider?

If there's no real benefit, then I'd like to know that, too so I don't end up paying for two plans when the time comes.

(I've had a full dental plan since 2/10/24, so I'm not worried about dental care not being included)
