Getting off my parents insurance

To make a very long story short I have insurance coverage through both my moms family medical plan with Aetna (Complete garbage, a bandaid has more coverage) and my employer with Cigna (truly amazing god-tier insurance, we had it while I was growing up and I genuinely didn’t understand how medical bills could bankrupt people, it literally covered everything for $40-100) and I recently had to get $3000 blood work done that Cigna has a $100 copay for but Aetna will only cover less than half. Although I updated my coverage with the clinic, they didn’t remove Aetna from my account like they were supposed to and now Labcorp is trying to bill them instead of Cigna. I just got off the phone with Labcorp and they were no help, they literally said I have to call back in a week because even though they’ve sent the bill no invoice exists yet. This devastated me financially last year and I only just recovered because I got an HCFSA through work and was able to pay off my debt.

This brings me to my two questions can I stop Labcorp from billing Aetna? They already started, Labcorp can’t do anything until Aetna responds, and I’m still covered under the active policy so I feel like that’s a complete loss, and second, how do I get off my moms insurance to prevent this from happening again, do I have to wait for open enrollment in December? I have a ton of health problems we simply can’t afford anymore with Aetna and they’re currently my primary for every doctor I see.

If anyone has any insights please help me, I’m scared I’m gonna have to stop my treatments again around September if I end up in debt to Labcorp again.
