Medicaid – healthcare.gov – help please

I recently applied for marketplace insurance back in February and myself and my wife were approved but our child was denied and said she needed to apply for Medicaid first and then be denied before they would allow marketplace to cover them. I did this beginning of February and it’s now half way through April. I called and waited on hold for 2 hours today just to be told there is nothing that can be done and I must wait my turn after they told me 3 weeks ago I’d hear something by 45 days (also she said idk where you heard that but it’s a lie and there’s no notes you ever called in)… they also stated they just now started January apps… so my child will be insured by August based on the current time line?

I’ve told them multiple times I do not want Medicaid and would be more than happy to pay for her on our marketplace plan and they refuse to let us do that. What am I to do in the mean time?? She’s a baby so needs multiple doctor appointments through the year…. This is so ridiculous, forcing people to apply for Medicaid even after telling them I didn’t want it.

Does anyone have any tips on what I can do?

PS. I do have a job and my child will be insured but I have to wait another 2 months before I’m eligible and I need to get them insured asap without paying 1000+ a month for private insurance.
