Coastal Administrative Services

My company is switching insurance companies mid year with zero notice (looking into the legality of that now). We have 5 days to pick one of two options through CAS. One is a DPC plan which sounds like gatekeeps all specialists through the DPC doctor by requiring referrals and also requires that my child see them instead of their current physician. The second is an “Any Provider” plan which they claim will allow me to continue to see all my current doctors provided they are willing to work with CAS.

I have spoken with all of my current providers and none of them have heard of this company or are willing to work with them. Two of them even tried calling to find out more but were apparently unsuccessful.

This is a self-funded setup for my employer. We got to sit through a sales pitch from a CAS representative today that included tons of personal anecdotes and the phrase “I promise” a lot.

Has anyone heard of this or know anything about what we’re getting into here? Google searches bring up next to no info. They are apparently affiliated with AIMM and 6 degrees health. Also conspicuously absent in google searches.

Thank you in advance. I’m losing my mind over this.
