What Will Kaiser do About My Pharmacy Mistake Grievance?

A couple months ago I got hit pretty bad with the flu. The doctor prescribed me a cough medicine. When I went to the pharmacy, I asked the pharmacist if I could take NyQuil with the medicine as if been using it to sleep while sick. He immediately said yes, I thanked him and went home. Before bed I took the cough medicine and NyQuil and immediately went to sleep. I woke up an hour later and I new something was wrong. My body was numb and I couldn’t feel my face. My thoughts were going incredibly slow. It reminded me of a bad trip that I had had after using medical marijuana years ago. I grabbed my phone and typed in “numb face” and “can’t think.” The first thing that popped up was a stroke. I was getting ready to call an ambulance when I stopped and tried to think of any other reason I could feel this way (not easy because my cognitive functioning was so slow.) I remembered the cough medicine. I thought maybe I’m allergic. Then I remembered the NyQuil. I googled it and it said you shouldn’t mix any over the counter flu medicine with this drug and ESPECIALLY not NyQuil. To be honest, I was relieved. I realized I wasn’t dying but I was just high. It got better within a few hours. The next day I filed a grievance. For me it was a memorable story, but what if that happened to an elderly or very sick person? I explained what happened and they asked how I wanted it resolved. I told them I didn’t really have a preference. I understood it was an accident and this time no one was seriously hurt. I kind of half heartedly suggested extra training, but ended with my desire to make sure this doesn’t happen to an old person. They were very nice and apologetic, and the grievance was sent to the next level. I felt like I had done my part and went on with my life. It’s been a couple months and they just called to double check my address. They said they were sending an “offer packet.” I’m kind of stunned. This was not a ploy to get money. I believe my exact words on the phone before were “no harm-no foul.” Is Kaiser trying to settle with me? What should I do?
