Hey y'all. I'm nee to this whole adulting thing even though I'm 47😱.

I live in Louisiana and I'm not the healthiest but I'm not unhealthy. I'm 5'4 170lbs without any real health issues. I suffer from anxiety and depression as well as hormonal hot flashes driving me absolutely batty.

I've just lost my mother to dementia and am now realizing the importance of life insurance. I'd like a plan that would payout to 3 people if possible. My brother (16 years younger than me), my partner of the last 15 years, and my 26 year old son.

At this time, we're scrambling to keep Mom's house and I'd like to prevent that from happening to everyone else once I pass. Mom left me with a 2500 monthly check that expires when I do. I want to make sure that my family has some help with this house payment when I'm gone. It's really the only thing I'll have to leave them and it's what mom would have wanted me to do. She always wanted to make sure we all had a place to call home.

I don't know a thing about life insurance. I don't work due to the anxiety and never have. I just need to know which options are the best, or what to stay away from. It's a lot of information and is overwhelming. I don't want to screw up as I've done everything else in my life. I want to help make sure they're all ok in the event of my death. Please… Help
