Graham Company, under the umbrella of Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), has announced significant leadership changes within its executive team.

Effective immediately, Carl Bloomfield (pictured above, left) is taking on the roles of president and chief operating officer (COO), while Tom Morrin (pictured above, right) will be stepping into the position of chief growth officer (CGO).

Bloomfield, in his new dual capacity, will direct the firm’s activities in both business insurance and employee benefits brokerage and risk consultancy. His responsibilities will include innovating client-focused solutions, new business acquisition, and the cultivation of talent within the organization.

He has been with Graham since 2006 and most recently held the title of managing director in enterprise risk and advisory services and is taking over this new role from Ken Ewell.

Ewell, meanwhile, will continue his association with Graham Company as a vice chairman, dedicating his efforts to initiatives aimed at enhancing the firm’s services and expertise for clients.

Morrin, meanwhile, as the newly appointed CGO, will focus on capitalizing on Graham’s extensive industry insights and expertise to offer value to clients.

He brings over two decades of experience to his new role and has been key to the broker’s business development, particularly with large and complex accounts.

Morrin’s CGO predecessor, Mike Mitchell, will also transition to a vice chairman role, with a concentration on nurturing client relationships.

Building on predecessors’ legacies

Both Bloomfield and Morrin are based in Philadelphia. Bloomfield will report directly to Andrew Neary, CEO of MMA’s East region, while Morrin will report to Bloomfield.

“As Graham embarks on this exciting chapter as part of the MMA family, I am thrilled to have Carl and Tom step into their new roles. Building on the legacy of Ken and Mike, respectively, their leadership will bring to life a new vision of client service while pioneering fresh initiatives to further strengthen our offerings,” Neary said.

Ewell also shared his optimism about the future leadership, emphasizing the duo’s strategic vision and commitment to superior client service as key factors in continuing Graham Company’s legacy.

“I’m incredibly passionate about the future of Graham Company and the opportunities that joining Marsh McLennan Agency presents for our clients and colleagues. This partnership allows us to leverage our remarkable pool of talent and resources across industries, further enhancing our service and expertise,” Bloomfield said.

“Our partnership with MMA embodies our proactive stance towards anticipating and navigating emerging risks for our clients, ensuring they remain ahead of the curve in a constantly evolving landscape,” Morrin added. “This collaboration combines our enduring principles with access to new capabilities, tools, and technologies, all aimed at protecting the livelihoods and futures of our clients’ businesses and their employees.”
