We were delighted to attend the inaugural Academy Graduation Ceremony to recognise our graduates for their academic excellence and professional development.

The event was held in Titanic Hotel Belfast and hosted by Trevor Shaw, Group CEO and Wendy Close People Director and celebrated our employees successes, hard work, dedication and marking excellence in Professional Development across the Group. 

The Academy Programme has been designed to encourage and support staff to undertake professional qualifications relevant to their role and to assist in the achievement of their educational and personal development goals.

We were delighted to celebrate 4 of our team members who graduated from our Academy Programme, having successfully completed their studies.

The Prestige Underwriting graduates are:

Kieran Wilson – Prestige Underwriting, Certificate in CIILiz Aljibouri – Prestige Underwriting, Certificate in CIIDaniel Smith – Prestige Underwriting, Certificate in CIISharon Reid – Prestige Insurance Holdings, Certificate in Insurance Product Service (APA)

Now in its third year, The Richard Livingston Award followed the Graduation ceremony with a total of 10 applicants shortlisted individuals. 

Our Prestige Underwriting colleagues shortlisted for Richard Livingston Award included:-

Kieran Wilson – Prestige Underwriting, Claims DepartmentPatrick Duffy – Prestige Underwriting, Claims DepartmentDaniel Smith – Prestige Underwriting, Schemes Development Underwriting

The winner of the Richard Livingston 2024 winner was Kieran Wilson!  Kieran is Project Co-Ordinator within the Claims Department at Prestige Underwriting. Kieran was presented with his award by Trevor Shaw.

The judging panel noted Kieran was a very worthy winner, having completed his  Master’s Degree (MSc) in Software Development (Conversion Course) at Queen’s University with Distinction and also having completed his Cert CII and as he has demonstrated the use of his MSc to not only improve his knowledge and his own team’s ways of working, but to improve how his team works with the broader business. They found him to have an enthusiastic outlook, always looking for solutions and ways to help his colleagues and improve processes, making him a role model across the Group.

Congratulations once again to Kieran on this fantastic achievement and well done to our Academy Graduates and  the shortlisted applicants for the Richard Livingston Award.
