SES Risk Solutions taps new president

Company provides P&C insurance for portfolios of single-family residential rental properties

Alliant Insurance Services has announced the appointment of Shaun Shenouda as president of SES Risk Solutions, a property-casualty insurance provider for portfolios of single-family residential rental properties and properties held in trust by financial institutions.

SES is part of Alliant Underwriting Solutions, the program administrator arm of Alliant Insurance Services.

Prior to his appointment as president, Shenouda served as SES Risk Solutions’ chief operating officer. In that role, he was instrumental in tripling the size of SES since its acquisition by Alliant in 2017, the company said. Shenouda succeeds Bill Mecklenburg, who was recently named senior managing director of Alliant Underwriting Solutions, as president of SES.

“Shaun is a visionary leader who has his finger on the pulse of the technological and financial landscape of the real estate investment space,” Mecklenburg said. “His depth of market experience and entrepreneurial mindset will play a crucial role in further solidifying our leadership in this category.”

Before joining SES, Shenouda served as vice president and business executive with an international insurance provider.

Shenouda’s promotion is the latest in a string of appointments at Alliant. Last month, the company named Dan Berry as venture capital leader and executive vice president of Alliant M&A. In November, the company announced the appointment of Martin Khalaf as senior vice president in its Alliant Americas division.
